The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reduce aging material.
This position manages and controls the organization resource distribution and allocation directed by the Operations Manager for all projects company wide.
Responsible for all logistic requirements related to the warehouse function, inclusive of transportation, supply delivery, related.Manages the supply and delivery of procured items to the assigned Project location, including coordination with all shipping and freight forwarding agencies and custom authorities.
Creates and implements best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking distribution.
Develops and execute tools and methodologies to enable effective implementation of logistic plans. This includes designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
Contributes to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
Delivers solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
Resolves problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports.
Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement.
Interpret trends and analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements.
Manages, coach and develops a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
