A logistics and management company based in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee inventory management and develop robust strategies to optimize supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will lead logistics processes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards while leveraging logistics software and ERP systems. A minimum of 8 years of experience, including 5 years in logistics and 2 years in the GCC, is required along with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field. The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reducing aging material. This position manages and controls the organization’s resource distribution and allocation directed by the Operations Manager for all projects company-wide. Responsible for all logistic requirements related to the warehouse function, inclusive of transportation and supply delivery. Manages the supply and delivery of procured items to the assigned project location, including coordination with all shipping and freight forwarding agencies and customs authorities.
Create and implement best‑practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking distribution.
Develop and execute tools and methodologies to enable effective implementation of logistic plans, including designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best‑practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost‑optimization opportunities.
Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports.
Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement.
Interpret trends, analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
Comprehensive understanding of logistics principles, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
Strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively oversee logistics operations, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and drive performance.
Excellent organizational abilities to plan and execute logistics activities, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
Proficiency in logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory levels, analyze data, and optimize logistics processes.
Problem‑solving skills to identify logistical challenges, implement solutions, and continuously improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years relevant working experience, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a Supply Chain/Logistics related course.
