This position reports to
Manufacturing Unit Manager - ELBP
Your role and responsibilities
- Execute purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
- Design and implement plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
- Support the Procurement Manager in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
- Support alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.
- Apply and implement procurement standards, tools, and processes in your own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
- Track procurement processes and activities, create and update reports as required, following ABB standards.
- Resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery in your assigned area.
- Track internal and supplier performance KPIs, address quality issues, and implement development actions.
- Execute and implement new changes related to purchasing and logistics within your area of responsibility.
- Participate in training programs to ensure compliance and foster professional development.
- Ensure effective and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units and centers.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, or supply chain management.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, with strong communication and negotiation skills, analytical prowess, and technical experience with ERP tools and software.
- Essential & preferable requirements include:
- Microsoft Office, ERP, Data Entry, Contract Management, Negotiation, and Communication skills.
- SAP Ariba, cost management, time management.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is required.
