A leading energy company seeks a meticulous Network Optimisation & NPI advisor in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you'll optimize supply chain networks and ensure effective product launches. Candidates need a degree in Supply Chain Management and minimum 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in supply chain operations. Strong skills in analytics tools like Power BI and effective communication abilities are essential. The position offers a hybrid working environment.
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Network Optimisation & NPI advisor to support end‑to‑end supply chain network optimisation in order to deliver maximum return on investment in manufacturing assets, working capital and spend in logistics while delivering on promised customer service through the configuration of an optimum supply chain network.
This role also manages and ensures on‑time new product launches to support business strategies in China PU (IWS, New Retail, CVO, Industrial, Marine and Thermal, etc.).
Work closely with marketing, GLT, and various functions in GSC to agree on the launch plan so that it is implemented on time. Be responsible for building and maintaining product‑related data in JDE/Fusion system along with target quality measures.
Lead end‑to‑end supply‑chain network review and deployment (including facility location, routing, product flow, etc.), with cross‑functional collaboration. Build the capability to optimise end‑to‑end supply‑chain network by modelling tool; build periodically review process to identify opportunities to improve supply‑chain service level and cost, reduce working capital, mitigate supply risk, maximise asset utilisation, and minimise network waste. Leverage Power BI to build data/performance dashboards and conduct data analysis for end‑to‑end supply‑chain network. Support NPI team to define new product sourcing plant and product flow across network. Lead the in‑house vs. TB vs. PFG cost analysis and facilitate the decision‑making process by collaborating with planning and procurement. Balance long‑range supply and demand in the >12‑month horizon to optimally supply customer demand. Drive the implementation of supply‑chain network optimisation opportunities, partnering with cross‑functional teams.
Lead the initial feasibility study and agree launch date with Marketing Project Lead on new product launch and withdrawal to support business strategies. Serve as a single point of contact for marketing functions in the areas of product introduction and withdrawal for automobile lubricant, industrial and marine business. Act as a key member of product phase‑in & out projects representing GSC to monitor and ensure all project activities progress as planned in terms of benefits and timings. Ensure product master data is well maintained with target quality measures and regularly check data quality for compliance purposes. Work closely with various GSC functions, marketing and GLT to ensure accurate IMF set‑up and up‑to‑date “ONE SKU” file. Responsible for ensuring that the compliance policy of product launch in GSC is closely adhered to. Drive the digitalisation platform development of product lifecycle management.
Work closely with PU Supply Planning Delivery lead, Production Planning, and Demand Planning teams, marketing, sales and other departments to align NPI and network optimisation strategies with business objectives. Support the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by leading supply network review and NPI processes.
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Business Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operational Research, Mathematics or related areas. Master degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years of related working experience in supply chain operations; supply chain network modelling experience preferred. Preferably experienced in new product launch, or supply planning process and system, understanding of product life cycle, plant operation and S&OP process. Understand end‑to‑end supply chain processes, broad knowledge of planning, logistics, inventory management, etc. Experienced in end‑to‑end supply chain network modelling and deep understanding of supply chain network modelling tools. Networking modelling capability, Power BI creation capability. Strong analytical skills and data‑driven attitude, good strategy thinking and logical sense. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, global and fast‑paced environment.
Work as per the China time zone and workdays.
No travel is expected in this role.
