Job summary
A leading welding services provider is looking for a Project Department Manager in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves managing projects and ensuring high standards of service and product quality. Responsibilities include overseeing project strategies, maintaining client relations, and monitoring financial profitability. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in project management, strong safety oversight, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Project Department.
- Directing project strategies to meet company's objectives.
- Liaise with clients to ensure contract compliance and satisfaction.
- Monitor project cash flow and profitability.
Within the framework of the organisation’s business strategy, contribute to the achievement of the company’s objectives by fully manage the Project Department’s both strategic direction and day to day management.
To ensure that the standards of our all local & international projects are kept high whist remaining in budget and to time, to liaise with dissatisfied clients where appropriate. Responsible to advocate the vision and values and to be fully responsible for the high standards of service and product quality.
To ensure all project: CLEAR form (Legal & Risk) are well in place, with regular project Risk Assessment review, along Financial profitability forecast.
Project Team shall work on IFS as main source for Schedule and resources updates to ensure transverse visibility into various internal stakeholder to allow efficient Group in the Industry 4.0 transformation.
Specific responsibilities of the Project Department Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
For country at risk ensure suitable level of safety measures will be implemented by customer, and plan for Serimax HSE audit on site. Ensure incident is reported within 24 hours.
Managing the relationship with the client to ensure that all aspects of tenders & contract are respected, within customer timeline.
Organising the feedback on the tendering activity & projects to the VP Regional Manager and other relevant functional managers. This includes the completion of all the reports necessary at the regional and Group level.
Monitor the cash flow & gross margin of Projects to ensure the profitability of the overall project and the reduction or elimination of variable costs. Ensure the team is focussed on cash optimization.
Develop for each project and instil systematic Risk assessment philosophy to your team
To assist and advise the Project team when required and to ensure all work including procedures to be carried out and followed to the current standards. Develop continuous improvement approach of processes aligned with group practices.
Liaise with all the support functions before and during the project to ensure they have all the relevant information to be able to provide full and timely support.
Ensure all project are having all IFS group required information updated on timely manner
Strongly contribute to development towards industry 4.0 along with Digital team, with high involvement on Sharepoint full use and continuous optimization with new initiatives. Ensure Digital Ambassador in your department is proactive to develop the
