About You

The position of Instrumentation & Control (ICE) Engineer has a dynamic application to work with other team members to support mechanical design activities throughout all project life cycles including Feasibility Studies, Front End Engineering Design, Detailed Design up to Operation and Maintenance primarily for delivering water treatment solutions to the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining and Chemical industries. OLEOLOGY has a fast-growing team looking for other motivated engineers to join this exciting new opportunity as part of the company’s expansion in setting-up an office based in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with both Design Engineering and Operations Team to provide instrumentation and electrical engineering support during design of new systems or debottlenecking of existing assets.
  • Develop single line diagram, loop drawing, termination drawings and panel sub assembly drawings.
  • Involved in product design validation and innovation for improvement in system performance and efficiency.
  • Development of Instrumentation and Control Engineering Deliverables for Project Execution.
  • Develop FAT and SAT procedure and execution.
  • Development of instrument specifications and datasheets for procurement of instruments, control systems and PLC.
  • Report to Engineering Manager - Malaysia.
  • Development of CTRs, Technical and Cost Proposals for clients.
  • Coordinating E&I contractors for builds and commissioning.
Bonus points if you have
  • Programming experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon PLC.
  • Experience to use electrical drawing tools – AutoCAD, Smartdraw.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations – knowledge in Hazardous Area Classification requirements (ATEX, Namur, IEC) will be an added advantage.
You Should Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering.
  • At least 3 Year(s) of proven experience in Electrical & Instrument control panel and wiring.
  • Good understanding on control panel design & wiring and able to develop control system architecture, single line diagram, wiring diagram, loop drawing, termination schedule & hook up drawings.
  • Knowledge on Control Panel Design, Instrumentation & Electrical Design.
  • Experience with Field Instrument device selection.
  • Experience with wiring termination and instrument signals.
  • Experience in providing load consumption calculation, power dissipation.
  • Experience in project management, control system installation, troubleshooting and system upgrading/migration.
  • Proactive & self-starter attitude, willing to travel occasionally.
  • Learn quickly and able to adapt and work independently in Malaysia and reporting to the Australian office.
