We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented accountant to join our team at the Golf Club. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and internal controls excellent organizational skills, and a passion for accuracy. The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and dynamic environment within the sports and leisure industry.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the Golf Club.

Ensure all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments and recorded correctly and accurately.

Ensure periodical reconciliation including bank and creditors to ensure all transactions are accounted for.

Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Prepare comprehensive monthly management reports and analyses, including full sets of accounts, within stipulated timelines.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.

3.Budgeting and Forecasting:

Preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports to management.

4.Tax Compliance:

Provide information and support for the accurate and timely tax submission, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations that might affect the Golf Club.

5.Audit Support:

Support internal and external audit processes.

Provide necessary documentation and support during audit processes.

Work closely with vendors and suppliers, verifying invoices and resolving discrepancies.

Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to optimize costs for the Golf Club.

7. Compliance and Regulations:

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

Staying informed about current legislation and regulations relating to accounting and e-invoicing.

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent is highly desirable.

At least 6 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Good knowledge of accounting practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office especially Excel.

Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Travelling within Klang Valley is necessary.
