Job summary

A prominent shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Manager of Security to ensure the safety and security of the premises and the public. The successful candidate will oversee security operations, develop policies, and train staff, requiring a Diploma or Degree and significant experience in public safety. Strong management skills and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential. Competitive salary offered.

MANAGER, SECURITY (PAVILION DAMANSARA HEIGHTS MALL)

Identify, develop, implement and sustain a plan identifying requirements, policies and standard operating procedures necessary to ensure the safety and security of the public (customers), employees, the security of property and the protection of assets

Provide day-to-day supervision over security staff (in-house and outsourced) while encouraging and maintaining a team and "esprit de corps" work environment

Develop, implement and revise as necessary, contingency, emergency and continuation of operations plans in response to emergencies or disasters

Remain vigilant to current and emerging threats that impact the safety and security of the public (customers). employees, property and assets

Establish and maintain a close working relationship with law enforecement and governmental agencies which may provide safety and security related information and intelligence

Manage the budget requirements related to security operations

Provide timely reporting of incidents including various security statistic reports

Develop and implement relevant security trainings for all security personnel

Provide regular security briefings to senior security personnel in-charge of overall operations

The ideal candidate should have:

A Diploma or Degree in a related field and in-depth background in public safety and building security including extensive experience managing security risk and operational security services OR any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform in the areas of responsibility listed above

Experience in managing security systems & technology and contractors

Experience in project management - managing all aspects of a project from implementation to completion

Ability to supervise, mentor and manage employees while enforcing standards and expectations of performance

Ability to display tact and diplomacy particularly in dealings with members of the public

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia with above average computer literacy
