The position is based in our Penang Office in Malaysia.

Job Overview

You will be responsible for carrying out day to day finance & accounting duties for retail and property development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting Operations: Handle Accounts Payable payments (AP), Accounts Receivable billing and collections (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets
  • Carry out Accounts Payable function including prepare payment voucher, cheque, obtain authorized signatories, distribution of payment and monitor cash and bank available balance
  • Cash and Treasury: Manage daily cash flow, bank reconciliations, and banking activities
  • Prepare and monitoring fixed monthly payment such as tax installment, loan interest and petty cash
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly/ quarterly management accounts, financial statements, and schedulers, cash flow statement, taxation and etc.
  • Audits & Liaison: Coordinating with auditors, tax consultants, valuers, bankers and etc.
  • Data entry, filing and administration, ensure all the accounting records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system
  • Ensuring all accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures are fully compliance with company policy, accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Handling other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advance Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience, preferably in the retail and property development industry
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
