Job summary

A leading materials company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a candidate for a role in their R&D laboratory. The ideal candidate will perform resin synthesis, evaluate competitor products, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance protocols. Requirements include an SPM or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience. Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, along with computer literacy, are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a similar capacity.
• Fairly good in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Computer literate: Microsoft Words, Excel, and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory scale resin synthesis.
• Evaluate and test competitor’s resins.
• Check new/existing resins stability and compatibility.
• Report abnormalities on products and lab equipment.
• Assist with customer complaints and off-specification products.
• Ensure disposal of chemicals and laboratory waste as per HSEQ.
• Maintain housekeeping of the R&D laboratory.
• Collaborate with other laboratory staff for efficient R&D activities.
• Ensure R&D activities comply with HSEQ policy.
• Cooperate with safety protocols and use provided protective equipment.
