Job summary
A leading logistics company in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager, Warehouse to oversee operations and ensure efficient order fulfillment. - Diploma/Degree in any discipline, preferably in Warehousing and Logistics Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receipt, storage and shipment of goods, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Direct, supervise, and assign warehouse employees, train staff, prepare work schedules and make work assignments.
- Assist with motivation and training of warehouse employees.
- Maintain accuracy of warehouse inventory for finished goods and consumables, assist with inventory control and resolve discrepancies.
- Promote good housekeeping, a healthy and clean working environment.
- Manage maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
- Prepare and verify reports, schedules, invoices, forms and other required warehouse documentation.
- Ensure all IMS procedures are effective; report any food safety problems to the Plant Manager for immediate action.
- Coordinate pest control activities for the entire company premises.
- Adhere to and implement ISPM #15 & AFAS regulations for wood packaging materials for export.
- Analyze warehouse operations and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to increase productivity.
- Authority: Approve annual leave/OT, purchase requisition and other SAP transactions; endorse ISO documents; verify invoices; authorize inventory adjustments in the ERP system with justification; communicate with Local Plant Quarantine Department regarding ISPM#15 & AFAS regulations.
