Job summary
A technology solutions company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer. The Analytics Engineer will execute and support technical projects while assisting in driving business growth through customer engagement and sales support. This role combines hands‑on work in Observability, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), and Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) with opportunities to support pre‑sales activities, tender development, and client solution adoption. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Technical Delivery & Support:
- Execute and monitor L2–L4 Observability, APM, NPM, and Security tools for projects and operational support.
- Assist in designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining solutions for On‑Prem and Cloud environments (e.g., AWS).
- Support R&D, Proof‑of‑Concept (POC), and operational enhancements within defined timelines, budgets, and scopes.
- Instrumentation knowledge for Java, .NET, PHP, Node.js, Python, Go and proficiency in OTel Collector, agents, exporters, cloud‑native telemetry.
- Integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Collaborate with DevOps teams (customers) to automate deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, manuals, process flows, and training materials.
- Support incident and problem resolution, ensuring SLA compliance with internal and external customers.
Pre‑Sales & Business Development:
- Support pre‑sales activities, including solution configuration, customer requirement analysis, technical presentations, and demonstrations.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and account management teams to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Contribute to tender and proposal development, including technical sizing, bill of quantities (BOQ), and solution architecture documentation.
- Act as a technical consultant for clients, ensuring successful adoption and satisfaction of Finther Tecnologica solutions.
Internal Collaboration:
- Liaise with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations teams to ensure product and solution readiness for deployment.
- Assist in internal enablement initiatives to ensure sales, delivery, and support teams are informed and equipped.
- Drive innovation and adoption of modern monitoring technologies (eBPF, OTel Collector pipelines, cloud‑native stacks).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years combined experience:
- Experience with APM, NPM, EUEM, or Security tools in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and On‑Prem solutions.
- Understanding of Observability, NPM/APM tools, Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and IT infrastructure.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to engage in client‑facing sales discussions.
