IM&S Spot Buyer – Your future position?

You will build tactical sourcing activities. The mission for this role is to manage the entire request for quotations of items not covered by agreed terms and conditions, following category strategy. Maintain working relationships with different people: users in the region, local teams responsible for Indirect Material Sourcing Asia Pacific. You will report to the IM&S Spot Buyer Team Lead.

What you will be accountable for:

1. You will accomplish sourcing (Spot Buy, quotes, market research, price comparisons).
2. Spot buy according to sourcing instructions defined in category cards.
3. You will maintain sourcing data for Spot Buy materials incl. site-specific information.
4. PO creation for indirect materials and services.
5. You will support sourcing support and market analysis in case language-specific is required.
6. Help investigate root cause analysis on invoice non-conformity. Work with guidance from Senior Specialists, Experts, and Team Lead.
7. Build constructive relationships within the local team Indirect Material Sourcing Asia Pacific.
8. Communicate with partners by phone or by email.
9. Observe service levels, procurement procedures.
10. Analyze and develop: suppliers in the region negotiate terms, conditions and prices; climb opportunities for our improvement; report savings; Manage contracts and agreements for smaller regular services.
11. Oversee the globalization of internal processes: taking care of the documentation of processes and documents.

Your professional profile includes:

1. University degree in business administration.
2. Business fluency in Vietnamese and English are mandatory in view of interaction with vendors from Vietnam and other countries in APAC. Knowledge of additional languages like Chinese would be an added advantage.
3. 3 or more years of relevant experience in a multicultural procurement shared services environment.
4. Possess knowledge of Sourcing and e-auction tools (SAP / SRM Chili).
