Cognizant's Client is undergoing a major transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, and we are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP Data Senior Consultant to Senior Consultant and manage the entire spectrum of SAP data management services, including SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), data migration from ECC to S/4HANA, OpenText Data Archival & Retrieval, and other data management solutions within the SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP landscape. This Technical Senior Consultant role will involve hands-on expertise in all aspects of SAP data, ensuring the integrity, governance, and seamless transition of critical data for business continuity. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAP data services, strong experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and data governance solutions, and hands-on expertise in consulting data migration and management projects for large-scale enterprises.

• SAP S/4HANA Data Architecture and Management:
  • Architect and design data management solutions within SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and other integrated systems.
  • Develop and implement a data governance framework, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across SAP S/4HANA and BTP platforms.
  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand data requirements and define best practices for data architecture, transformation, and migration.
• Master Data Governance (MDG):
  • Implement, configure, and manage SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to ensure effective management of master data across business processes.
  • Define and enforce data governance policies for SAP MDG, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all systems.
  • Implement MDG for key domains (e.g., material, customer, vendor, financial master data) and ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Establish processes for data lifecycle management, including data creation, maintenance, and deletion in collaboration with business units.
• Data Migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA:
  • Lead data migration efforts for the transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Design and manage the data migration strategy and roadmap, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely migration of legacy data to S/4HANA.
  • Oversee the preparation of migration tools and templates, ensuring migration processes comply with SAP best practices.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to validate and cleanse data before migration to S/4HANA, ensuring data accuracy and readiness.
  • Develop testing strategies for data migration, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• OpenText Data Archival & Retrieval:
  • Implement and manage OpenText Data Archival and Retrieval solutions for SAP S/4HANA, ensuring large volumes of transactional and historical data are archived and retrievable.
  • Ensure archived data is secure, compliant with regulations, and accessible for business users when needed.
  • Develop strategies for archiving data in accordance with legal and business requirements.
  • Coordinate with SAP Basis and SAP Security teams to ensure appropriate access controls for archived data.
  • Manage and monitor the OpenText archiving solution for optimal retrieval times and minimal disruption.
• Data Integration with SAP BTP:
  • Integrate SAP S/4HANA with SAP BTP data services (e.g., SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Integration Suite) to enable seamless data flow and improved BI.
  • Leverage cloud-based data solutions with SAP BTP for real-time data exchange between SAP S/4HANA and third-party apps.
  • Implement data pipelines, transformation workflows, and analytics solutions using SAP BTP, integrating with master data, transactional data, and big data solutions.
• Data Quality and Governance:
  • Develop and enforce data quality rules, policies, and procedures across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and external systems.
  • Implement data cleansing processes to address quality issues before, during, and after migration.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP data governance framework and best practices; drive adoption of governance tools across the organization.
  • Support data governance committees and provide guidance for effective data management.
• Data Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure data management solutions comply with security standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Work with security teams to implement data protection measures across SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and external platforms.
  • Incorporate data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) into the data governance framework during migration and archival processes.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Work with functional Senior Consultants, business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to ensure data migration, governance, and archival requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to align data management with business goals.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on data migration, governance, and archival projects.
• Training, Knowledge Sharing, and Support:
  • Develop and deliver training on SAP data management, MDG processes, and OpenText data archival practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentor junior consultants and staff in SAP data management technologies.
• Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data management processes and tools; stay up-to-date with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and related technologies.

• Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP data management, with at least 4-5 years in SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
  • Experience in data migration projects from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA (ETL).
  • Extensive MDG implementation and configuration experience (materials, customers, vendors, financial master data).
  • Hands-on experience with OpenText Data Archival & Retrieval for SAP systems.
  • Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with SAP BTP services (Data Intelligence, Integration Suite, etc.).
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant SAP certifications in S/4HANA, BTP, MDG, Data Management or related areas are desirable.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of SAP data models, master and transactional data in S/4HANA.
  • Experience with data migration tools such as SAP Data Services, LSMW, and S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP data management services (Data Intelligence, Integration Suite, HANA Cloud).
  • Strong experience in data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
• Process and Methodologies:
  • Experience with data migration strategies, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and data monitoring tools.
  • Experience designing data governance and data quality assurance processes.
• Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in aviation or travel industries.
  • Knowledge of SAP Advanced Data Migration (ADM) tools.
  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes in data management contexts.
