JUNIOR CONSTRUCTION QAQC ENGINEER
Job summary
A construction firm in Penang seeks a QA QC Assistant to develop and implement quality procedures for construction activities. The role involves coordinating audits, inspecting work, and ensuring compliance with specifications. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering with 1-2 years in QA/QC roles, have strong communication skills, and basic AutoCAD knowledge. Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years in construction QA/QC roles is preferred.
- Experience in industrial/commercial buildings is valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA QC procedures and systems.
- Coordinate internal and external audits with corrective actions.
- Review project specifications for quality standards.
- Prepare quality assurance documentation and reports.
- Inspect construction works for conformity with standards.
- Conduct material inspections and verify test reports.
- Monitor quality through inspections and testing.
- Raise NCRs and ensure proper closures.
- Coordinate with third-party testing agencies.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors.
- Attend coordination and technical meetings.
- Maintain quality records per ISO and QLASSIC.

Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), recommend corrective actions, and ensure proper closures.
Ensure calibration and validation of testing equipment and instruments used on-site.
Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and consultants for quality inspections.
Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues.
Attend coordination and technical meetings to ensure proper QAQC measures are being implemented.
Maintain quality records in accordance with project , ISO, QLASSIC or any other Quality certification documentation control systems.

- Technical Skills:
- Familiar with QLASSIC or other Quality standards
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Competent in report writing.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented and analytical.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
