Restructuring & Insolvency (Corporate Recovery) – Junior Consultant
Job summary
A global consulting firm is seeking a motivated Junior Consultant for its Corporate Recovery team in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves assisting in various restructuring and insolvency activities, preparing documents, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting in business valuations. Candidates with a degree in accountancy and good communication skills in English and Malay are encouraged to apply. Fresh graduates or those with minimal experience will be considered.

- Fresh graduates or candidates with a minimum of 1 year experience in accounting, insolvency, or restructuring.
- Good communication skills in English and Malay.

- Assist in the administration of corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements.
- Prepare letters, notices, forms, emails, and reports.
- Liaise with tax agents and auditors.
- Assist in business valuation and recovery of debts.
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes.

We are seeking for a highly motivated, independent professional to join our Corporate Recovery team. As part of the Corporate Recovery team, you will assist the team on restructuring and insolvency activities for the clients.
- Assist in the administration of corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements, which include (i) liquidation, (ii) receivership, (iii) judicial management, (iv) scheme of arrangement, (v) corporate voluntary arrangement.
- Assist in the preparation of letters, notices, forms, emails and reports to officer, creditors, debtors, local authority and etc.
- Assist in the preparation of notices to be advertised in the local newspaper (including liaising with the advertising agent).
- Liaising with tax agents, auditors, accountants, officer of the Company in coordinating the accounts, audit and tax filling.
- Assist in taking control of the business premises, assets, books and records, statutory records, and perform an analysis report.
- Liaising with property or assets or business valuer for valuation report.
- Assist in realisation of assets or properties or business.
- Recovery of debts.
- Assist in proof of debts exercise.
- Investigation of past transactions.
- Assist in the financial review and preparation of restructuring proposals.
- Attend meetings and preparation of minutes of meetings.
- Clarifies issue(s) / problem(s) to be addressed and communicate clearly and timely to senior or manager.
- Audit experience is not required.
- Degree in Accountancy.
- Fresh graduated / Minimum 1 year of experience in any accounting related, insolvency, restructuring and/or external audit.
- Good in written and oral in English Language and Malay Language.
