Job summary

A leading financial management company located in Malaysia is seeking a highly skilled finance professional. The role entails overseeing accounting and taxation for regional subsidiaries, ensuring timely reporting, and preparing annual budgets. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting and have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in audit. Strong communication skills in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia are essential, along with a willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

  • Oversee accounting, taxation, and management reporting for subsidiaries.
  • Ensure timely financial and management report generation.

Job description
Responsibilities


  • Oversee and review for accounting, taxation and management reporting functions for regional subsidiaries

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial and management reports - meeting all month and year end reporting deadlines, both internal and external

  • Oversee and review annual statutory reporting for regional subsidiaries.

  • Review corporate tax compliance, income tax computation for regional subsidiaries.

  • Preparation of management reports for the regional subsidiaries.

  • Preparation of annual budget for the regional subsidiaries.

  • Monitor ageing collection and credit control

  • Monitoring cash flow and cash flow forecast

  • Assist in drafting the SOP, process improvement and internal control

  • Liaison with tax consultants pertaining to taxation matters

  • Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by immediate superior


Qualifications


  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/ Banking, Commerce or equivalent.

  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position, audit experience will be an added advantage.

  • Good technical skill in the areas of tax and finance

  • Able to write and communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia (to liaise with stakeholders in various regions).

  • Occasional overseas travelling is required .
