A leading company in payroll and HR located in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager Payroll & HR Journalist. This role involves ensuring accurate monthly payroll for both white- and blue-collar staff, handling statutory payment compliance, and supporting HR operations. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in HR and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, along with proficiency in Boss.net and Kakitangan software. Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential for this position.
To ensure complete Monthly Payroll in an accurate and timely manner for White- and Blue-Collar Staff via the Boss Net & Kakitangan (Time Management) system.
To ensure all payment for statutory government-related bodies for example KWSP, LHDN, SOSCO, EIS, Zakat, and Taxation, Form BE E-filling and EA is completed on time.
Ensure yearly income tax filing is completed for all expatriates and is filed in a consistent manner.
Ensure tax clearance is done through CP-21 for the expatriate who is leaving the company (resigning or exiting the country).
Resolve employee’s inquiries about their pay slips, contracts, leaves, and claims.
Process employee’s confirmation, transfer, promotion, salary adjustment, resignation, and termination.
Assist with day-to-day operations of HR Functions and duties which includes the Discipline of Staff (monitoring attendance, lateness, and other relevant).
Checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards, maintaining time and attendance records, entering new hires into the payroll system, posting changes in pay and tax status, and miscellaneous changes.
Prepare, update, manage, and maintain HR-related databases, records, and reports.
To provide full support to HR Manager in recruitment and any other related task.
Any other task assigned by the management
Required Skills
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control and taxes
Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem - solving skills.
Proficient with Boss.net & Kakitangan software .
Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the same capacity with good track record in overall HR.
