This is a part‑time role as a Healthcare Assistant with Elysium Healthcare, a leading provider of mental health services in the UK. As a Healthcare Assistant you will be part of a supportive and inclusive team that works together to provide high‑quality care to individuals with mental health conditions. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours, updating patient records and assisting with personal care.

What you will be doing:

• Participate in ward rounds, analyse behaviours and adapt care accordingly with colleagues.
• Update patient records and provide overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance in a sometimes challenging environment.

Shift pattern: 12.5 hours a day, 2 shifts a week including nights and weekends.

Location: Chesterfield Road, Alfreton, Derbyshire DE55 7DT. You will be working at Field House and Apartments – a 16‑bed specialist rehabilitation service for women with a mental illness and/or personality disorder. The service offers a blended model of rehabilitation that combines a traditional rehabilitation environment with single and dual occupancy apartments, to provide a seamless care pathway for women with a mental illness and/or personality disorder and a history of trauma and/or attachment disorders. The service places a strong emphasis on positive risk taking, self‑reliance, trust and self‑esteem, with a focus on psychological input.

Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a mental health setting would be advantageous. A caring and compassionate nature, as well as the ability to work well in a team, are essential.
