Your role at NTT DATA

The Senior Cross Technology Sales Specialist is an advanced subject matter expert and a quota-bearing sales persona. The primary purpose of this role is to pursue and secure qualified leads identified by the Client Management and other teams.

The role involves identifying new opportunities within existing accounts, presenting solutions, value propositions, partner configurations, and revenue models that meet client needs. You will work directly with clients at various levels and collaborate with internal subject matter experts.

A significant part of your time will be engaged in selling or supporting the sales process in partnership with Client Managers. You will contribute to the pre-sales process by working with pre-sales architects to design optimal solutions, build stakeholder relationships, and develop new business channels and territories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate expertise across multiple domains or solution sets.
  • Support sales closure with your technology domain knowledge.
  • Address technological challenges during sales processes.
  • Maintain high product and service knowledge for meaningful client conversations.
  • Stay aware of the competitive landscape, market pricing, and strategies.
  • Share best practices within the company’s solutions and services.
  • Own and nurture client relationships within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors and understand their solutions.
  • Engage with clients to understand their business goals.
  • Articulate solutions that meet client needs, focusing on deliverables.
  • Conduct workshops and presentations, establishing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Personalize solutions based on client understanding.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within accounts.
  • Support the sales process and work with sales teams to close deals.
  • Use sales tools and methodologies to manage opportunities.
  • Develop and execute opportunity plans with regular stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge and Attributes
  • Proven success in achieving sales and financial goals.
  • Ability to develop meaningful relationships, including with senior leadership.
  • Skilled in delivering engaging sales presentations and team selling.
  • Deep understanding of competitors and market strategies.
  • Strategic sales planning and solution capabilities.
  • Customer-centric approach and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, sales, or related fields.
  • SPIN and/or Solution Selling certifications preferred.
  • Relevant technology and vendor certifications preferred.
  • Extensive sales experience in technology or services, including IT Managed Services.
  • Proven track record in solution-based selling and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling complex solutions to C-Level clients.
  • Ability to resolve issues creatively and network with senior stakeholders.
