• Participate in dishwashing, garbage removal, silver polishing, pot washing, or any other stewarding area as necessary in accordance with department needs (based on staffing or business levels).
• Ensure a safe and productive operation.
• Assure compliance with Ajman Health Department standards.
• Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen storerooms, hallways, loading dock, kitchen, and service equipment.
• Must assist in the training of all stewarding duties.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the stewarding communication board and communicate to colleagues when required.
• Assist in maintaining that all colleagues are following the proper grooming standards.
• Ensure proper communication/handover is done between shifts and between leaders using logbook emails to ensure smooth operations.
• Check Banquet Event Orders (BEO) / Restaurant Event Orders (REO) to see what setups are needed to be done on shifts for banquets and restaurants.
• At the start of the shift, do a complete walkthrough of stewarding areas to observe the status of all areas.
• Throughout the shift, continuously walk through all areas to ensure all outlets are replenished with cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, and service equipment.
• Assist in reassigning colleagues during the shift to areas of need.
• Be responsible for answering the Stewarding Phone and assisting all operations with requirements.
• Assist in controlling stocks for daily use in the department (cleaning products, mop heads, etc.).
• Assist in controlling breakage and wastage.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all kitchens and Heart of the House (HOH) areas as well as ensuring all maintenance needs are looked after.
• Ensure all paper towel dispensers are full at all times throughout the shift.
• Conduct shift briefing when required.
• Perform daily checks on staffing level, quality control, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Maintain regular attendance at department and operations meetings.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Stewarding department preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications preferred.
• University/College degree in a related discipline is an asset.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
