Job summary
A design consultancy in Dubai seeks an experienced Architectural Inspector to oversee site inspections and ensure compliance with building standards. Candidates must have a degree in Architecture, at least 8 years of experience in large-scale projects, and strong knowledge of UAE regulations. Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an Architectural Inspector.
- Proven experience on large-scale developments in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of architectural standards and materials.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections to verify architectural works.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and quality standards.
- Review shop drawings and monitor corrective actions.
- Inspect architectural finishes and verify quality.
Skills
Education
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor and verify architectural works are executed as per approved drawings specifications and project standards.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents local regulations and quality standards throughout all stages of construction.
- Review and comment on shop drawings material submittals mockups and method statements.
- Identify nonconforming works issue site observations/NCRs and follow up on corrective actions.
- Inspect and verify architectural finishes including masonry cladding waterproofing joinery false ceilings paintwork tiling and other interior works.
- Coordinate with other discipline inspectors and site teams to ensure multitrade integration and avoid clashes.
- Participate in snagging and desnagging inspections including preparation of punch lists and ensuring timely closure of items.
- Attend site meetings with contractors consultants and client representatives as that all inspections and records are properly documented and filed.
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an Architectural Inspector with a design consultancy background.
- Proven experience on largescale commercial residential or mixeduse developments in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE building codes architectural standards and finishing materials.
- Excellent attention to detail communication and reporting skills.
- Must be currently based in the UAE and available to join immediately.
