Primary Responsibilities:
- The Real Estate Manager will support the Middle East Real Estate team, part of Amazon's Africa, Middle East & Turkey Operations Real Estate organization.
- The Amazon AMET Real Estate team is responsible for the timely completion of property transactions, including acquisitions, renewals, expansions, terminations, and reconfiguration of existing warehouse space in the AMET region.
- This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple work streams and possesses in-depth knowledge of planning law and warehousing development.
- Responsible for the growth and development of the operational network through sourcing new properties throughout AMET.
- Manage negotiations with landlords, agents, and lawyers.
- Have in-depth knowledge of planning law, development projects, and site assembly.
- Report and deliver results to the senior leadership team.
- Implement a comprehensive due diligence process.
- This is a regional role with a focus on Egypt.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience with progressive responsibility in real estate or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree; MBA from a reputable university preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale, project-driven workloads, with reporting to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Market experience within the Middle East and Africa.
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
- Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive business decisions.
- Ability to foster successful partnerships with cross-functional leadership to execute strategic initiatives and develop roadmaps.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, especially in difficult situations, maintaining team focus and motivation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Specific experience dealing with real estate in Egypt.
