Job summary
A leading medical organization in South Africa is seeking a qualified medical practitioner for a full-time position in the emergency department. The role involves managing patients, performing investigations, stabilizing patients, and conducting emergency procedures. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, be registered with HPCSA, and possess ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications. Advantageous skills include ultrasound proficiency and a DA/DipPEC qualification. This mid-senior level role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic medical environment.
Qualifications
- Registered as an Independent Medical Practitioner with HPCSA.
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery required.
- ACLS, PALS, ATLS certifications are essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage patients in the emergency department.
- Order and perform investigations.
- Stabilize patients and perform emergency procedures.
Skills
Education
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients in the emergency department and code blues in the hospital, ordering and performing investigations, stabilising patients, performing emergency procedures, and referring patients to the appropriate specialist if required.
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCH / MBCHB)
