Job summary

A specialist Paediatric Practice in Cape Town is seeking a medical receptionist and personal assistant. The role includes managing diaries, handling calls, and performing general administration. Candidates should have a Matric qualification and experience in medical reception is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. This is a one-year contract position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08h00 to 16h00.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Matric qualification is required.
  • Experience in medical reception is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Job description

A specialist Paediatric Practice based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, is looking for a medical receptionist and personal assistant.

Requirements:

  • Diary and appointment management
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Cash and credit card payment and reception
  • Stock control and ordering of stock
  • Ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the practice
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
  • General administration
  • Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information
  • Assist in any marketing initiatives or requirements
  • Attend to travel arrangements

Qualification:

  • Matric
  • Medical reception experience is an advantage
  • Medical software knowledge is an advantage especially on Vericlaim
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential
  • Business and marketing diploma is an advantage
  • Hospitality or childcare background is advantageous
  • Social media knowledge will be advantageous
