An industry leader in Short-Term Insurance seeks an experienced Branch Manager for their George-based team. The role involves operational leadership, driving revenue targets, and managing a high-performing team. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' experience in a similar environment. Knowledge of local regulations is essential.
Our client, an industry leader in the Short-Term Insurance space, is currently looking to employ an experienced Branch Manager to their George (Southern Cape) based team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating global and national strategy into local execution, maintaining client trust, and driving growth within the region.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Insurance (essential).
Postgraduate qualification or specialized insurance credentials advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a branch within a short-term insurance business.
Significant experience in financial services, insurance, or risk management with leadership or branch-level operations exposure.
Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of meeting targets and leading teams.
Analytical and strategic thinking with excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Knowledge of the South African regulatory environment and market dynamics.
Operational Leadership: Oversee daily branch operations including compliance, administrative workflows, customer service, staff coordination, and budgeting.
Sales, Growth and Client Management: Drive revenue targets by leading client acquisition, retention, and cross-selling insurance or risk solutions.
Team Management and Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage branch staff to ensure a high-performing and client-focused team.
Local Market Strategy: Tailor and implement strategies addressing client needs in South Africa, leveraging global resources and local insights.
Compliance and Risk Governance: Ensure operations adhere to regulatory policies, company standards, and risk management frameworks.
Financial Oversight and Reporting: Manage the branch’s P and L, set budget targets, monitor costs, and report performance metrics.
