Our client, specializing in supplying a wide range of food and related products to businesses in the hospitality and catering industries, is seeking a Human Capital Practitioner to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Management team and relevant line managers.
• Ensure application and compliance with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
• Advise Line Management on relevant legislation, company policies, and their impact on employment conditions.
• Assist with the recruitment and selection process.
• Drive recruitment and selection internally and externally to meet workforce, equity, and talent requirements.
• Ensure proper onboarding and induction for all new employees.
• Manage probation periods, including decisions on employee continuation or termination.
• Maintain sound employee relations by advising on and implementing disciplinary, grievance, restructuring, incapacity, and conflict resolution activities.
• Investigate disciplinary and grievance cases, gather evidence, prepare cases, and support case resolution.
• Assist management with succession planning and career development initiatives.
• Coordinate time and attendance records for payroll processing.
• Promote employment equity to meet numerical targets.
• Provide administrative support such as contract management, transfer letters, internal applications, promotions, and salary reviews.
• Participate in or lead HR projects as required.
• Support the implementation of HR strategies and objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management
• Intermediate Excel skills and computer literacy
• Own reliable transport and willingness to use it for business purposes
• Ability and willingness to travel
• At least 12 months of experience in a similar role, ideally within the same industry
