Kingmead is an Independent, Christian day school situated in Melrose, Johannesburg, who provides an excellent, all-rounded education to girls from Grade 000 to Matric.

The school is seeking to employ an enthusiastic, innovative, and qualified teacher who is eager to contribute to its dynamic sports department.

The Sports department strives to ensure that every student reaches their potential and develops life skills learned through sports, such as respect, teamwork, work ethic, and commitment, while also supporting each student’s long-term athletic growth.

The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:

• An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma and ideally a PGCE.
• Current SACE accreditation.
• A proven track record as an educator with the ability to teach Physical Education.
• Knowledge of the physical and emotional development of young children.
• A dynamic, vibrant, and energetic person with a passion for the social and emotional well-being of girls.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders, including parents, staff, students, therapists, and neighbouring schools, keen to be part of the Kingsmead community.
• Experience in coaching various sporting disciplines will be an advantage.
• An individual who is open to continuous learning and receiving feedback to grow.
• The ability to engage with the ethos and spirit of Kingsmead and understand the importance of belonging and inclusion in a school environment.
