Job summary
A growing mining company in Gauteng is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to assist with financial processing, bank reconciliations, and management accounts. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel, Sage, or QuickBooks is required. This is a full-time in-person position.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or internship.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with capturing and processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department.
