JOIN a dynamic, fast-paced company managing a diversified portfolio of investments seeking your numerical expertise to fill the role of an Accountant where you will manage key financial transactions. You will oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing, review VAT reconciliations while preparing monthly management accounts and reports. This position will be based within the Developments team, which entails a portfolio of Commercial & Residential Property Developments, industrial, retail, sub-acute and day hospitals as well as developing affordable housing, plot and plan for resale, etc. The successful incumbent will require a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field with 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar role including knowledge of Accounting principles, tax legislation and financial reporting standards and proficiency in Excel and Accounting software.

Duties
  • Manage key financial transactions, which includes overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the comprehensive processing of general ledger entries.
  • Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain and review accounting records, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and internal controls.
  • Review VAT reconciliations and ensure timely, accurate VAT submissions and payments.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Manco inputs preparation (reporting).
  • Month end journals.
  • Process depreciation and ensure proper asset classification and disposal.
  • WIP Recons.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience/Skills
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles, tax legislation, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excel level: Intermediate to Advanced.
