OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Consultant to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT sales and business development, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, build lasting relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who can strategically position IT products and services within the market to maximise business potential.
Previous experience in the IT industry is essential.
Purpose of the Role The Senior Sales Consultant will be responsible for generating new sales of software and related IT solutions.
This includes managing the complete sales lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals, while maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new business and upsell opportunities. Key Responsibilities : SalesApply proven sales methodologies to generate new business from existing and prospective clients.Conduct cold calls, email outreach, and other prospecting activities.Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations.Participate in marketing campaigns, conferences, and webinars to promote offerings and updates.Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, and develop business cases and ROI analyses.Research market and industry trends to identify new opportunitiesAccount Management Build and maintain long-term client relationships.Conduct regular account review meetings and gather feedback.Resolve customer issues through investigation, solution development, and reporting.Manage licensing renewals, true-ups, quotes, and invoicing.Provide business consulting and strategic support to clients.Identify and pursue upselling opportunities.Vendor ManagementAttend partner meetings and webinars.Build and maintain vendor relationships.CRM and Reporting Capture and manage all leads, opportunities, and quotes in Dynamics .Customise and configure Dynamics as needed.Develop Power BI dashboards and reports.Produce weekly and monthly sales and account performance reportsREQUIREMENTS2–5 years of quota-carrying sales experience.Proven record of exceeding sales targets.Experience working with CRM systems (Dynamics preferred).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.Own reliable transport and ability to travel to client sites.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong analytical and financial skills, particularly in Excel (tested during the selection process).
