Sales Consultant - Lift Industry
Century City , Cape Town
The purpose of this position is to ensure that all proposals are submitted within the required time frames and that all pipeline commitments are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate proposals.
- Develop and implement O & T & Mod sales strategy for the area.
- Provide accurate forecasting and meet personal sales targets.
- Conduct customer visitation to promote sales in the designated area.
- Ensure delivery of all pipeline commitments.
- Maintain weekly and monthly meetings with potential and existing clients to drive O & T & Mod sales figures.
- Grow the company’s business by generating O & T & Mod sales.
- Establish prospective customers/clients and penetrate sales in new target segments.
- Maintain relationships with key account customers.
- Monitor contract agreements and customer requirements regarding obsolescence and equipment age.
- Collaborate with the construction team.
- Ensure all construction modification sales documents are delivered on time to head office.
- Ensure that the customer tender document has been completely read and understood and contains the tender pricing requirements.
- Ensure 100% tender submission on time to tender date.
- Send monthly forecast to the sales director.
- Attend all forecast meetings as per calendar appointments.
- Attend branch meetings as per branch manager’s instruction.
- Ensure all pipeline targets are achieved.
- Ensure all objectives/targets are met as per company and individual plan.
- Understand new products that are being launched.
- Apply complete sales strategies to meet sales forecast and targets.
- Ensure proposals are submitted according to sales efficiency requirements and individual target.
- Convert leads to sales through effective communication, follow‑ups and positive attitude.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions and networking with local associations to promote Otis products.
- Monitor the fluctuating market to identify competitors and latest product innovations.
- Adhere to safety culture both on site and in the office environment.

Travel & Working Conditions
- Requirement to spend time at client sites, including access to construction environments, terrain and stairs.
- Regular travel between offices and client sites with occasional overnight stays.
