A leading insurance firm in Gauteng is seeking an Area Manager to manage relationships with brokers and corporate clients. Responsibilities include servicing, marketing, and selling insurance products, alongside training agents and attending events. The ideal candidate will have a Matric RE accreditation, experience in the insurance industry, and strong interpersonal skills. This role requires effective time management and the ability to work independently.
Specialist Business has a position available for a Area Manager to service brokers, agents and corporate clients in GAUTENG / EAST RAND region.
The successful incumbent will be required to service, market and/or sell travel insurance/short term insurance products: servicing agents and brokers and several key accounts; this will include monthly visits, query and claim management, monitoring, increasing and reporting sales and relationship building.
Training travel agents and brokers in the portfolio on products and systems. Servicing corporate clients. Attending workshops, conferences or any public relations events when required – this may include weekends and/or afterhours functions.
Minimum Matric RE accreditation. Previous experience in short term insurance industry. Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle. Computer literate (Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook). Previous work experience in an unsupervised role an advantage. Tertiary education an advantage. Sales and marketing experience an advantage. Previous experience calling on brokers / in person visits; not negotiable.
