UNITEC is an international group specialized in designing and manufacturing technologies and systems for industrial automation. For our branch in Paarl (South Africa) we are looking for an Agro-Industrial Technical Sales Specialist.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated person to join our Sales Department and support the development of our South African branch in Paarl. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with both existing and potential customers within the agro-industrial market. The role includes regular visits to customer facilities to understand operational needs, collect technical information, and support the development of customized solutions and commercial proposals. The candidate will follow each project through all its phases, from initial assessment to the commissioning and start-up of the processing line.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers in the agro-industrial market.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer facilities to understand operational needs and collect technical information.
  • Support the development of customized solutions and commercial proposals.
  • Follow each project through all its phases, from initial assessment to commissioning and start-up of the processing line.
Requirements
  • Preferable experience in the fruit & vegetable sector, agro-processing, and/or industrial machinery.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with industrial or agricultural processes (a technical degree is a plus but not required).
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel across the region.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • High levels of clarity, transparency, and professionalism.
