It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions covering needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover, and personal accident plans.
In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group.
The cluster focuses on retail products and group schemes.
What will you do?
- Promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM)'s products and increase market share by providing sound financial advice and high-quality client service in a branch setting.
- Create opportunities for client optimization and cross-selling of value-added products.
What will make you successful in this role?
- Gain an in-depth understanding of SRM product ranges and customer needs, financial goals, and means.
- Provide suitable products that meet customer goals in an affordable manner.
- Keep customers informed about new or updated products.
- Validate client details according to product and regulatory requirements.
- Submit new business through appropriate channels and conduct due diligence to identify risks.
- Manage daily appointments effectively, including walk-in clients.
- Service and manage all client profiles, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
- Follow up on payments, address queries, and manage client risk profiles proactively.
- Ensure compliance with standards, maintain records, and adhere to regulations.
- Report on activities, collate data, and perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum 1-year experience in sales or marketing, preferably within insurance.
- Matric (Grade 12), RE5 advantageous, FAIS compliant, and Class of Business training within 12 months.
Knowledge and Skills
- Support broker activities, handle administration, and develop business and partnerships.
