An Acoustic Panel Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and installation of acoustic panels on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality and acoustic specifications. They serve as the primary link between the installation teams, project managers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate the daily work of acoustic panel installation teams and subcontractors.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all installations comply with project blueprints, specifications, and relevant building codes and standards for sound quality and noise control. Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Implement, enforce, and monitor strict health and safety protocols and regulations on site. Conduct safety orientations and toolbox talks and investigate any incidents or near misses.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Organise work schedules and assist project managers with planning activities to meet deadlines. Coordinate material deliveries, storage, and inventory management.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any technical challenges, defects, design inconsistencies, or site conflicts promptly to avoid delays.
  • Communication and Reporting: Liaise effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders. Prepare and maintain accurate daily site reports, progress updates, and documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, train, and motivate site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: Proven experience as a site supervisor, foreman, or in a similar role within the construction or interior fit-out industry, with specific experience in acoustic panel or ceiling installation preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, processes, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications is essential.
  • Acoustic Knowledge: Basic technical knowledge of acoustic products, sound absorption principles, and relevant industry standards is beneficial.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication skills (written and verbal), and good organizational and time management skills.
  • Certifications: A relevant diploma in civil engineering or a related field is often required; a valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card or equivalent safety certification may also be necessary.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work on-site, potentially outdoors in various conditions, and perform physical tasks as needed.
