Responsibilities
The Site Personnel is responsible for planning, implementation, progress monitoring and hand over of section/s of the Works in respect of site work complying with budgetary, health, quality, safety, security and environmental standards as required by law and set by the Company and Customer.
The responsibilities of the Site Personnel shall include the following, and any other tasks that the Company shall assign to him from time to time:
- Responsible for helping his subordinates under his guide to prepare Site Daily Reports and other site documents accurately and concisely.
- The Site Personnel shall assist his subordinates in clarifying any part of the Contract that is inadequately defined or documented. If unsure, the Site Personnel shall refer the query to his superior or the Site Agent.
- Monitor and coordinate Company / Customer supplied products (whichever is applicable) and material stockpiles affecting the smooth implementation of assigned section/s of the Works.
- Responsible for reviewing qualifications, experience, personality, traits, etc. of subordinates and assign / empower them with appropriate tasks.
- Responsible for implementing approved management system for working documents / drawings for his own or subordinates’ use at point of process.
- Assist the Site Agent in timely compilation, review and finalization of supporting site submissions (e.g., work schedule, Method Statement, material samples for approval, calibration certificates, shop drawing, etc).
- Responsible to ensure inspection and test plans are carried out in accordance with the Contract for the assigned section/s of the Works.
- Responsible for monitoring site progress of the assigned section/s of the Works and periodic reporting to his superior and provision of accurate and pertinent information to the Site Agent for his incorporation into the Progress Report.
- Responsible for monitoring implementation of approved health, quality, safety, security and environmental plans (whichever is applicable) for the assigned section/s of the Works.
- Responsible for enforcing implementation of material acceptance, storage, preservation and control of non-conforming product procedures for the assigned section/s of the Works.
- Responsible for coordinating and pursuing timely site verification of work done by sub-contractors and goods delivered by suppliers for subsequent valuation of their monetary claims.
- Propose and review draft corrective and preventive actions before submitting them to the Site Agent for his preparation or submission of a formal Corrective and Preventive Action Plan.
- Responsible for control of resources allocated by the Company by instituting the following steps:
- review qualification, experience, personality, traits, etc. of subordinates and assign / empower them with appropriate tasks;
- ensure the proper and efficient use of machineries, equipment, tools, etc.;
- control wastage and advise sub-contractors and subordinates of any wasteful/inefficient practices at assigned section/s of the Works.
- Ensures all QMS activities under the assigned Projects are implemented effectively at the site.
- Responsible for other duties and functions stipulated in the QMS documents.
Qualifications
Candidate possesses at least Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experiences in construction industry.
Capable of liaising with team members, sub-contractors, and suppliers to resolve site issues and coordinate technical details.
