Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in site supervision or engineering roles within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Site Management, Construction Supervision, and Quality Control.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to address on‑site challenges and ensure project progress.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively coordinate with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Malaysia.
  • Capacity to maintain accurate records of site activities, progress, and any issues encountered.
  • Capability to enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
Responsibilities
Initiation Phase
  • Define the Project: Work with stakeholders to clarify the project’s value, objectives, and high‑level scope.
  • Feasibility Analysis: Determine if the project is realistic and worthwhile.
Planning Phase
  • Define Scope: Create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) – a checklist of all tasks required.
  • Develop Schedule: Create timelines, set milestones, and identify task dependencies (e.g., using Gantt charts).
  • Estimate Budget: Forecast costs for resources, materials, and labor.
  • Plan Resources & Procurement: Determine what team members, equipment, and vendors are needed. Evaluate the performance of key team members.
  • Identify Risks: Proactively figure out what could go wrong and create mitigation plans.
  • Establish Communication Plan: Define who needs what information, when, and how they will receive it.
Execution Phase
  • Lead the Team: Assign tasks, manage workload, monitor and motivate team members.
  • Procure Resources: Secure necessary materials, tools, and vendors. Keep track of inventory.
  • Implement the Project Plan: Put the plan into action and produce the project deliverables.
  • Manage Quality: Ensure work is being performed according to the agreed‑upon standards. Ensure RFWI are thoroughly closed.
  • Communicate Status: Keep all stakeholders informed of progress.
Monitoring & Controlling Phase (Happens concurrently with Execution)
  • Track Performance: Monitor project progress against the baseline plan (scope, schedule, cost).
  • Manage Changes: Evaluate and approve or reject change requests through a formal process to avoid “scope creep.”
  • Control Quality: Verify that deliverables meet the quality standards.
  • Report on Metrics: Use tools like dashboards and status reports to provide visibility.
  • Mitigate Issues & Risks: Address problems as they arise and execute risk response plans.
Closure Phase
  • Hand Over Deliverables: Formally transfer the final product, service, or result to the client or operations team. Testing and commissioning.
  • Archive Documentation: Close all financial accounts and store project records for future reference.
