Job summary
A healthcare facility in Petaling Jaya, Selangor is seeking a CSSD Technician for the Operating Theatre. You will ensure the safe delivery of surgical procedures by decontaminating and preparing instruments. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Sterilisation Technology and has 1-2 years of experience. Responsibilities include cleaning surgical instruments and adhering to safety protocols. This full-time position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication with the surgical team.
Qualifications
- Formal qualification in sterile processing, such as a Diploma in Sterilisation Technology.
- 1-2 years of experience as a CSSD Technician or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail with precise protocols.
Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, and sterilise surgical instruments.
- Organise and stock the CSSD.
- Distribute sterile items to theatres as required.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilisation processes.
- Adhere to health, safety, and infection control protocols.

Education
- As a CSSD Technician in the Operating Theatre at Hospital Picaso, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of surgical procedures.
- Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilisation, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.
- This is a full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
- Carefully clean, decontaminate, and sterilise surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies using specialised techniques and equipment.
- Organise and stock the CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Distribute sterile items to the operating theatres and other departments as required.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all sterilisation processes.
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and infection control protocols.
- Formal qualification in sterile processing, such as a Diploma in Sterilisation Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a CSSD Technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow precise protocols and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the surgical team.
