Job summary

A leading coachbuilding company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a qualified technician to perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on onboard bus systems. You'll be responsible for installation and maintenance of electrical and IT systems while ensuring optimal performance through preventive maintenance. Candidates should hold a technical diploma in related fields, with experience in system troubleshooting as an advantage. Job description

Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and rectification of onboard bus systems including electrical, electronic, and IT-based systems.

Install, terminate, test, and maintain electrical and low-voltage wiring, control cables, and communication lines within buses.

Configure, set up, and maintain onboard computer systems, control units, monitoring systems, and related software/hardware.

Conduct fault analysis and root cause troubleshooting on devices and equipment such as controllers, sensors, displays, cameras, GPS, and other onboard systems.

Carry out preventive maintenance, system testing, and commissioning to ensure optimal system performance.

Prepare basic technical reports, service records, and troubleshooting documentation.

Comply with safety procedures, wiring standards, and company SOPs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, IT, or a related technical field.

Proven experience in system troubleshooting, electrical wiring, or technical maintenance (automotive or bus systems experience is an advantage).

Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Basic knowledge of computer systems, networking, and system configuration.

Ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters, and testing equipment.

Able to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a team.

Willing to travel or work on-site as required.
