Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct simulation procedures to ensure accurate planning and preparation for radiation therapy treatments.
• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy using various treatment machines with precision.
• Monitor and manage patient reactions to treatments, providing care and support throughout the process.
• Operate and perform regular quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment, e.g., linear accelerators and CT simulators.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, dosage information, and patient responses.

Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging & Radiotherapy or a Diploma of Radiotherapy.
• Previous experience in a radiation therapy setting is preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Solid understanding of radiotherapy procedures and practices, and knowledge of quality control measures in radiotherapy are essential.
• Strong comprehension of anatomy and physiology relevant to radiotherapy imaging is required.
• Familiarity with the cancer patient pathway and associated clinical procedures is essential.
• Knowledge of radiation protection policies is necessary to ensure safety and compliance.
