Candidate’s responsibilities include, among others:

1. Maintain, and assist in the preparation and compilation of agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, major construction tenders, professional service agreements, and standard industry forms of conditions of contract such as PAM, AIAC, FIDIC, and other forms, including appropriate risk mitigation;
2. Maintain and assist in the preparation and compilation of contract documents (both main and subcontract);
3. Assist in negotiations with counterparties (if any);
4. Participate in mitigation processes in line with the organisation's standard operating procedures;
5. Attend and participate in department and group meetings, staying current on projects, goals, and issues;
6. Collaborate proactively with internal team members and operational groups to share and implement best practices, policies, procedures, contract templates, etc.;
7. Assist in providing internal stakeholders with information regarding processes, procedures, and contract development, including training materials;
8. Create and adhere to contract and document tracking requirements.

The candidate should have:

• A Bachelor's degree related to Quantity Surveying or equivalent;
• Chartered Surveyor accreditation from a recognized institution (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is strongly preferred;
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role in a construction consultancy firm (e.g., QS consultancy, expert witness, law firm);
• Strong contract administration and negotiation skills across various agreement types;
• Familiarity with claims and CIPAA;
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop close working relationships and collaborate effectively;
• Problem-solving ability in collaboration with internal and external contacts;
• Presentation skills;
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple contracts efficiently;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams;
• Willingness to travel frequently within Malaysia.
