Job summary
A payment gateway company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead its engineering team and manage the technical strategy for product development. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of software engineering experience with a strong background in payments or fintech and exceptional leadership skills. Responsibilities include overseeing project management, ensuring product quality, and staying updated on industry trends. The role offers a competitive salary range of RM 15,000 - RM 30,000.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in payments or fintech.
- Deep understanding of development methodologies and architecture; proficiency in modern languages and frameworks.
- Exceptional ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical strategy and architecture.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead an engineering team.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, and resources for project completion.
- Work with stakeholders to define requirements for payment solutions.
- Implement rigorous testing practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies.
- Develop and manage the engineering budget efficiently.
- Act as a liaison between the engineering team and executive leadership.
