A high-tech industry venture in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineer for Supplier & Metallic Manufacturing Costing. The ideal candidate will lead cost estimation activities for manufacturing projects, ensuring compliance and accuracy in bids. With at least 7 years of experience, candidates should possess strong knowledge of cost estimation, supplier negotiations, and team management. Familiarity with CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication is advantageous. Join a dynamic team driving continuous improvement in the aerospace and composite sectors.
Qualifications

- Experience in CNC machining or sheet metal fabrication is advantageous.
Responsabilités
- Lead cost estimation activities for metallic manufacturing projects.
- Review bid proposals for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with teams to gather cost data and specifications.
- Manage procurement strategies and supplier assessment.
- Monitor updates of material pricing and supplier rates.
- Guide team on cost modeling and analysis tools.
- Participate in post-bid evaluations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement practices.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing and team management.
3. Strong knowledge of metallic manufacturing, cost estimation and analysis, and supplier price negotiation.
4. Experience in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication work is an advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead and manage cost estimation activities for metallic manufacturing projects.
2. Review and validate bid proposals to ensure accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
3. Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to gather technical specifications, cost data, and supplier information.
4. Manage procurement strategies through supplier assessment, cost benchmarking, and support delivery performance evaluation.
5. Monitor and ensure timely updates of material pricing and supplier machine rates.
6. Provide guidance and training to the team on best practices, cost modeling and analytical tools.
7. Participate in post-bid evaluations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Oversee ethical procurement practices aligned with company objectives.
9. Ensure all bidding and procurement activities comply with industry standards, legal regulations, and client requirements.
