Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a professional to lead and train engineers in manufacturing processing. The role includes ensuring new product transitions to production are smooth, maintaining project timelines and budgets, and responsible for engineering design and manufacturing procedures. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure everything is in place for production and provide necessary feedback on design proposals to improve efficiency and eliminate malfunctions. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train engineers in manufacturing processing.
  • Ensure smooth transferring of new products to production.
  • Maintain project status, timeline, budget, BOM, and ECN.
  • Responsible for Engineering Design and procedures.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing team for production facilities.
  • Research customer design proposals and evaluate feasibility.
  • Provide feedback to design engineers on customer needs.
  • Recommend design modifications for system malfunctions.
  • Develop and monitor all aspects of production.
Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • To lead and train engineers in manufacturing processing, customer drawings and specifications, tooling, and jig approval and quality requirements
  • Work closely with customer & other functional department to ensure smooth transferring of new product until production
  • To maintain the project status, timeline, budget, Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Change (ECN) administration
  • Responsible for Engineering Design and create manufacturing procedures, installation procedures, tools, services process and etc
  • Coordinate with manufacturing team to ensure the design of the manufacturing facilities for production; layout and equipment, tools, materials and etc are in place
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
  • Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs
  • Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs
