Job Scope
Responsible for undertaking automation solution execution, including guiding junior engineer on planning, development and implementation of project engineering; to both internal and external customer, while providing assistant to sales on technical consultation and coordination of projects.

Project Execution:
To execute engineering development for project, including:-
To Control system integration and consultation
Project kickoff and scheduling
Generate/candidate/approve IO listing and engineering drawings
Program development for PLC, touch panel, SCADA and etc.; including testing and debugging.
Carry out FAT, SAT, site testing and commissioning.

Project documentation :
To ensure all engineering development meets expectation of quality and comply with safety standard.
To plan, organize and conduct project meeting and training as and when needed.
To plan, coordinate Engineer or subcontractor in executing site work, prepare field service report for field work.

Project Planning:
To plan and execute projects within stipulated man-days.
To plan and execute projects within quoted schedules & to ensure project profitability with double digit margin.
To assist and advice salesperson on sales proposal on control system configuration, integration and cost.

Continuous Improvement & New Solution Development
To Identify key improvement area on project deployment and solutions, such as program standardization using program templates.
To improve and apply project management skills, including people interaction and management, delegation, planning and organizing.
To Up-skill own knowledge and competencies in the assigned product lines and solutions.
To identify, plan and improve engineering work process to meet certain standard and standardization for easier future deployment.

Collaboration with Sales Dept to provide win-win solutions
To work closely with sales and management team on identifying customer challenges and requirements, propose and conduct system testing (POC), presentation and/or trainings.
To provide technical supports on control system configuration, technical advice and/or troubleshooting.
To prepare and conduct technical training (include designing and developing training kit, manual/material) to SI Partners, distributors and customers.

Good documentation and housekeeping for data, files, assets and resources
To report directly to Project Manager on project implementation progress and deliverables.
To ensure project documentations, programs, drawings, FAT, SAT, Field Service Report, and etc; are updated and stored in Project Storage Folder.
To ensure proper recording and update of all hardware assets; including loaned, stock or customer samples.

Job Requirement

• Industrial knowledge with experience in manufacturing process.
• Possess deep understanding on PLC / SCADA / Networking Technologies.
• Strong program development skills on PLC, HMI, SCADA, Network configuration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Site work electrical and electronic troubleshooting capability
• Networking, connectivity and intergration of communication protocols such as modbus, Fins, MQTT, etc.
• Software programming, Python, Java, SQL, etc.
