As a Repair & Test Supervisor, you will oversee and manage repair & testing operations, ensuring technical excellence, efficient project execution and effective team leadership. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment maintenance, robust problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to drive high standards in all work completed.
Responsibilities
- Technical Knowledge: Possess an in-depth understanding of relevant equipment and systems, including the ability to maintain, repair and troubleshoot technical problems effectively.
- Project Management: Efficiently manage multiple maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion, effective resource utilization and accurate tracking of project progress.
- Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, vendors and cuistomers by providing precise instructions and explanations for technical issues.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively, analyzing issues thoroughly to develop and implement robust implementation strategies.
- People Management: Lead, coach and motivate repair & test teams to ensure high standards of work quality and productivity are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field is highly preferred. A master's degree or advanced certificates (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) would be a significant advantage. Candidate who have certificate or diploma related to this field with 5 years of experience in RMA will be considered.
- Ideally candidates have minimum 5 years of experience in Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) repair or computer manufacturing. Advantage to candidates who have proven experience (2-3 years) in supervisory or team lead role, specifically managing a team of technicians in a repair, test or motherboard environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards (e.g., ISO9001) and their application in repair and testing operations.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an electronics or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Production, Customer Service).
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. As the role engages with stakeholders in Taiwan, familiarity with Taiwanese business culture is valuable. Proficiency in multiple languages will be considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of computers or electronic components and devices is a plus.
- Experience in managing relationships with external vendors or suppliers for parts, tools or services is an advantage.
