Job summary
A leading property management company in Malacca City is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine inspections, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role involves troubleshooting issues promptly, coordinating with external contractors, and maintaining accurate records of all activities. Ideal candidates will be responsible for the upkeep of building systems and will support emergency response procedures as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedules.
- Monitor building systems, identifying potential problems.
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures and components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with external contractors for repairs.
- Assist with building renovations and upgrades.
- Support emergency response and after-hours maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical equipment
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and occupant comfort
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedules to extend the life of building systems and equipment
- Monitor building systems and controls, identifying potential problems and reporting abnormalities
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures, equipment, and structural components (e.g., doors, locks, drywall, flooring)
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services
- Assist with building renovations, upgrades, and space reconfigurations
- Support emergency response procedures, including after-hours or on-call maintenance as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment
