Qualifications & experience
- Candidates must possess Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or related professional qualifications (MIA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managerial role and genuinely interested to be involved in business operation and management.
- Proficiency with Accounting software and e‑invoicing experience will be an added advantage.
- Able to speak in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, Companies Act 2016, Income Tax Act, and local regulations.
- Willing to travel for outstation assignments as required.
- Creative, detail‑oriented, enjoys multi‑tasking, self‑motivated with ‘hands‑on, solutions‑first’ mindset.
- Demonstrated key traits such as able to work independently, self‑motivated, adaptable and resourceful, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Comfortable working across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Review group accounts and full set of accounts to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
- Review monthly and annual management reports, analysis, forecasts and budgets.
- Review tax computation, withholding tax, SST returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and deadline.
- Oversee cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for day‑to‑day operations.
- Work closely with operations to prepare and review budget and financial analysis, to ensure tax compliance and manage costs efficiency.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Oversee and ensure that all system, practices, control and procedures comply with applicable accounting and reporting regulations.
- Support ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
