Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in Node.JS and/or Nest.JS, PostgreSQL, Redis.
- Experience in unit testing with JEST and CI/CD processes in AWS.

The Opportunity:
Be part of a team building a new end-to-end Zurich Edge digital insurance platform to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for high levels of automation and straight through processing across the full insurance value chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have a deep understanding of business requirements, and how to best build the web application
- Microservices: strong knowledge in Node.JS and/or Nest.JS, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Unit testing (JEST), integration testing and deployments in various environments
- Interface with other teams for technical details to integrate the web with back-end services
- Build & unit test reusable components and functions
- Familiar with, or carry out, CI/CD processes in AWS (e.g. configuration management, daily automated build, unit testing, etc.)
- Occasional travel may be required
Your skills and experience:
- Microservices: experience in Node.JS and/or Nest.JS, PostgreSQL, and Redis
- Prior experience in Financial Services or Insurance highly regarded
- Experience with JEST, JIRA, GitHub, SonarQube is a plus
Skills:
- Problem solving
- Writing secure, reusable and maintainable code
- Experience with MVC and other design patterns
- Passion for new and emerging technologies, and the ability to investigate these in-depth
- Ability to understand business requirements in detail
